ABSTRACT SUBMISSION IS CLOSED
The University of Waterloo is home to one of Canada’s leading geography departments with a long history of research in the cryospheric and hydrologic sciences. The conference program will include a range of presentations on the remote sensing and in situ measurement of land, lake, and sea ice, snow and ice in Arctic and high mountain regions, advances in modeling of snow and ice processes, improvement in cryosphere monitoring and observation technology, as well as a wide range of other snow and ice related subjects.
Waterloo is located about 100 km southwest of Toronto, Ontario, and is the traditional home of the Anishnaabe, Haudenosaunee, and Neutral Peoples. Waterloo is serviced by several nearby international airports in Toronto, Hamilton, London, and Waterloo itself, and is a 1.5 hour drive from the Canada-U.S. border at Niagara Falls. There are several hotels within the city, and a block of rooms is reserved at the Delta-Marriott across the street from the conference venue (click here to access the ESC reservation block). Accommodations at the University of Waterloo campus are also available and are connected to the conference venue by LRT and bus lines.
